The Craft of Arranging

We treat every bouquet like it matters, because it does. Whether you’re celebrating a promotion or apologizing for being late to dinner, the flowers you send should feel intentional—not like someone grabbed a bucket and wrapped it in cellophane. When you order from Bunches and Blooms, an actual florist (not a template, not a subscription service) is sitting at our design table arranging your flowers by hand.

We’ve been doing this since 2013. That’s thirteen years of learning which flowers actually hold their color, which combinations of texture and tone make someone pause and actually look, and how a vase matters as much as the stems inside it.

Signature Style

Our aesthetic is bright but not loud. We lean toward surprising color combinations—deep burgundy with blush and sage, golden yellow with dusty purple, coral with soft grey-green. We use a lot of foliage and filler flowers like scabiosa and astilbe to add movement and depth. Our arrangements tend to be slightly overgrown-looking on purpose, like you grabbed them from a garden that’s thriving a little too well.

Every arrangement leaves our studio with flowers that are actually conditioned—trimmed at an angle, woody stems gently split, leaves removed below the waterline. We use floral frogs when the architecture calls for it. Small details, real difference.

Featured Arrangements

Our two signature collections are The Manifest (a bold, dense arrangement in jewel tones with lots of texture—think burgundy roses, scabiosa, astilbe, and Italian ruscus) and The Gradient (a soft color-story arrangement that moves from blush to sage to ivory—we update this one seasonally). Both have loyal customers who reorder them without even looking at the website.

Beyond those, we design custom arrangements based on budget, occasion, color preference, and whether you want something tall and dramatic or low and intimate. No two bouquets from our shop are the same unless you specifically ask for it.

Why Choose Bunches and Blooms

  • Designed by florists, not algorithms. We’ve been hand-arranging for over a decade. We know which flowers pair well, how to build structure, and when to break the rules.
  • Local and seasonal. We work with Colorado growers and import supplemental flowers only when necessary. This means better quality, better prices, and better for the planet.
  • Flexible and responsive. Don’t love the color of your favorite arrangement? We redesign it. Want something we don’t have? We build it. We answer emails and calls from actual humans.
  • Built to last. Our flowers are fresh-cut, properly conditioned, and packaged in wet floral foam. They’ll look good for 7–10 days, sometimes longer.

Occasions We Serve

Birthdays, anniversaries, apologies, congratulations, “just because,” sympathy, weddings, events. Whether you need a single stem or fifty arrangements for a corporate event, we scale with you.

Our most common orders: anniversary flowers (roses and garden flowers, usually), birthday flowers (bold colors, lots of personality), and funeral/memorial flowers (calming but beautiful arrangements in pale tones). But we’ve also done flowers for gender reveals (we did a gorgeous blush-and-sage setup for a client once), divorce parties (hot pink and orange—surprisingly healing), and elaborate wedding backdrops.

How It Works

1. Order online or call. Browse our signature arrangements or request a custom design. Tell us your budget, occasion, color preferences, and any flowers you love or hate.

2. We confirm and design. If it’s a custom order, we follow up within a few hours with details. If you’re picking a signature arrangement, we’re ready to start.

3. We arrange and deliver. All arrangements are designed the morning of delivery (or the day before for next-day orders). We hand-deliver within Denver’s metro area or arrange pickup from our studio.

Delivery Info

We deliver within Denver and immediate metro areas (zip codes 80202–80239) for $8. Orders placed by 2pm are typically delivered the next day. For same-day delivery, call us before 10am. Pickup is always free—stop by our studio on Cheesman Park and chat with the florist while we’re finishing your arrangement.

All flowers come with care instructions: trim stems, change water every two days, keep out of direct sunlight. Most arrangements last 7–10 days with proper care.

What Customers Are Saying

“I ordered The Manifest for my partner’s birthday, and they actually gasped when they opened the door. The colors were insane—I didn’t think that combination would work, but it absolutely did. Flowers lasted forever.”

— James M.

“I needed something for a sympathy arrangement, and I was nervous about choosing the right thing. The florist (I think her name was Rachel?) spent twenty minutes on the phone with me talking about the person I’d lost and what kind of flowers they loved. The arrangement was perfect and tasteful. I’ll use them for everything now.”

— Sofia R.

“Ordered for an event coordinator, and they custom-designed forty arrangements for our corporate gala. Each one felt personal despite the volume. Showed up perfectly on time. Worth every penny.”

— Daniel K.
